Recognizing and curating some of the industry’s highest quality music, Pineapple Digital Music Group is comprised of a group of record labels dedicated to serving the avid listeners of authentic underground music, focusing on the genres of progressive house, progressive breaks, trance, and progressive trance. Led by industry guru with 35+ years in the scene Dave Pineda, it’s clear they take their beats seriously. PD was founded on the basic principles of simplicity and being proactive with regards to producers and artists getting involved in all the aspects of their releases. PD prefers to develop the talent from within its roster of artists promoting the family mentality that PD displays. All this of course in the name of love for the music.

‘Consistency is the key’

is PD’s motto, and they only turned two years old this month. Well they consistently see support from the industries most iconic DJs including: Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Chicane, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Max Graham, TMG’s own Mike Saint-Jules, Protoculture, Roger Shah, Solarstone, Tydi and the list goes on. It also makes sense that PD’s releases consistently land on the Beatport Top 100 Chart. With a few number 1’s already, they are in it for the long run. Dave envisions the future to be better with more events planned for WMC Miami, ADE in Amsterdam and select cities around the globe. PD’s unique flavor and sound spawns from their intent to master every release in-house, ensuring the stamp of approval.

We took a closer look at the label and its newest label addition Pineapple Grooves which blurs the lines of house keeping things funky, fresh and interesting.

Dave Pineda Host Bio:

Dave Pineda, from Toronto, Canada, is the label owner of Pineapple Digital. A well-seasoned producer with over 30 years of experience and even more years under his belt as a professional DJ, Dave is one of the few that appears to effortlessly spin almost every genre of dance music from the 70’s to EDM. Prior to the creation of Pineapple Digital, Dave found success as the label manager at Nueva Digital priming the label for it’s first #1 hit release. A turntablist at heart, he is called the Master DJ, “the DJ for all DJ’s”.

Dave is known for his eclectic taste in music and his mixes which take the listener through an emotional journey that leaves spectators mesmerized. When he is not busy running his label or creating podcasts, he periodically tours the world, giving people a taste of the labels finest records.

What sets Dave apart from other dj’s is the intensity he brings to every set and the intricacies found in his track selection. Allowing for an always unique live experience, he will mix in his own bootleg versions of popular tracks. A true master of his craft.

Lian July Co-Host Bio:

Lian July is a music producer / DJ from Israel. As a producer of a variety of deeper electronic styles, from progressive to dark techno, Lian July seems to always have a leg up in originality. Discovering her love for music at an early age, she knew it had to be a permanent fixture in her life.

She was a party organizer for the biggest clubs in Israel. After countless positive reviews for her work and dedication in the field of party promotion, Lian decided to take her uncanny ability to recognize good music and began producing her own.

The initial reaction from the international DJ community suggests that Lian has a wonderful future ahead of her.

With strong DJ support and hit singles on Beatport’s Top 10, as well as affiliations with leading labels like Armada and Silk, Lian continues to surprise her growing fan base with exciting new sounds.

Tyler Schauman Radio Manager / Co-Host Bio:

Tyler Schauman is an American producer from Central Florida. Having attended the world-renowned Full Sail University, a private institution that focuses on entertainment, media and the arts, Tyler knew a long time ago that music was more than a passion, it was a career.

Tyler’s original productions and remixes have landed on Beatport’s Top 10 on several occasions, along with the support from A-list DJs.

Whether it’s creating sounds for music, video games, or film, Tyler is constantly pushing the boundaries to come up with ideas that are new and innovative. His focus lies in creating music that causes unique reactions and invokes feelings of inspiration.
